All About A.P.E.

I started programming on a consulting basis in 1987.
I guess you could say that Administrators, Programmers
and Engineers came into being at that time. I've
done mainly web site back ends and UNIX sysadmin stuff.

About the 'org': A.P.E. is a not-for profit entity.
I prefer to emphasize financial goals only to the
minimum extent necessary. My objective here is to
increase leverage in other aspects of the
work, in particular the ability to choose projects
and technologies with greater freedom.

Currently, I have a full-time job in Frederick,
Maryland: 500 miles commuting per week _and_ it's
all NT--call me a masochist. I'm sure you can see
that this facilitates the A.P.E.'s humble financial
goals. Hopefully you can also see why I want some
leverage in choice of technology.

Besides the full-timer, I take CS classes at the
University of Maryland University College.
Unfortunately, this does not leave a lot
of time for the A.P.E.

Still, I like hearing about interesting projects,
and having a chance to contribute. I have a messy
but reasonably impressive resume which will soon be
tidy enough for human consumption. And, when I'm not
setting fire to recalcitrant Wintel machines,
I'm actually a nice guy to work with!
Please drop me a line.
